A New Start
I am brother Kwan from the local church in Cypress. While living without being saved, I was introduced to the local church by my girlfriend. Through these meetings, I received Christ as my life and savior and was born again as a son of God (John 1:12), and the direction of my life was settled down. For a few years in the beginning, when I attended a meeting I was upset, because the meeting was so different from the worship order and content that I was used to my denomination. But I sensed Christ in each believer's sharing on the Word of God every Lord's Day.
Awhile after being born again, I was baptized. Soon, by getting married to my girlfriend, I started a new family. As I began to participate in the meetings of the local church, I came to love the meetings and the believers in the local church because I became more clear about things.
Now, Christ and the local church have become the center of my living. I am convinced that this is God's way for my life.
As a new believer with a new family, I want to grow in Christ in the local church. I don't have any fear. My only hope is to eat the Lord diligently, to drink Him, and grow (John 6:35; 1 Corinthians 3:7).
